MEETING WITH FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE FEDERAL BOARD OF TECHNICAL RESCUE SERVICE (THW) 

On the 10th February at the Main School of Fire Service (SGSP) Rector-Commandant nadgryg. dr inż. Mariusz Feltynowski, prof. SGSP and former president of operating in Germany Federal Board of the Technical Rescue Service (THW) Mr. Albrecht Broemme met in order to summarize existing cooperation in the field of international actions and exchange of good practices and experiences. 

One of the important aspects of SGSP’s activities, enabling for regular analysis of the direction of its development as well as using the latest scientific and organizational thoughts, are constantly developed contacts with foreign countries.  

Functioning of THW in Germany is one of the elements connected with filling in by the federal government responsibilities in the field of assurance of countries civil protection. 

THW’s main goals include: 

• ensuring technical assistance for example in the field of civil protection and crisis management, 
• suport in technical rescue during extraordinary situations or large-scale accidents, 
• participation in actions outside country on the behalf of federal government
