PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS „SETTING UKRAINIAN CBRN REQUIREMENTS” – COOPERATION OF THE MAIN SCHOOL OF FIRE SERVICE WITH THE HARVARD HUMANITARIAN INITITATIVE (HHI) AND CBRN WORLD MAGAZINE
On the 28th June at the Main School of Fire Service took place pre-conference workshop which the main topic was connected with determination of ukrainians needs in CBRNe field. Event was organized by the Harvard Humanitarian Inititative in cooperation with the Main School of Fire Service and CBRN World Magazine.
In the workshop attended representatives from the biggest international organizations including: rescEU CBRN – European Commission, WHO, ICRCm JCBRN Defence, OSCE, OPCW, EU SOCOM, US and Canadian Army, United Kingdom Ministry of Defence , Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Polish Ministry of Interior and Administration, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the National Headquaters of the Fire State Service.
From the Main School of Fire Service workshops were opened by the Vice-Rector for Education and Students Col Zdzislaw Salamonowicz, Phd Eng.
In panels attended international well-known experts in CBRNE field, whom discussed global trends in CBRNE preparations for current threats.
During event invited quests for example from: Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, the Main School of Fire Service and Civil Protection Bureau of the National Headquaters of the Fire State Service had an opportunity to share with humanitarian aid experience for Ukraine and strategies for International aid and opportunities for creating new iniciatives to support civil authorities in Ukraine.
Event was co-financed under polish development aid project from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, High Intensity CBRN Poland and Harvard Humanitarian Initiative.
We are proud that we have hosted such an important event a tour University.
Workshops took place before High Intensity CBRN Europe 2023 planned for 29th – 30th June.
