BaltPrevResilience Seminar

On 4-5 November 2015 the Main School of Fire Service has organized the Final Seminar Awareness Raising, Bridging and Community Resilience” which was realized in the Project BaltPrevResilience - The Baltic Sea Region everyday accidents, disaster prevention and resilience”  funded with the support of the European Union and Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The Seminar has gathered around 100 participants who were the project partners’ representatives and actors in the field of civil protection within the Baltic Sea Region. The purpose of the seminar was to inform about project deliveries and findings, contribute to common understanding of BSR authorities on data processing and its use for improvement of society resilience, familiarize with existing data processing systems in BSR region and exchange experiences on international actions taken in the past to facilitate awareness rising and community resilience in preparedness phase.

As a part of the seminar participants were invited to an exercise about crossborder partnerships in dealing with floods, bridging and building community resilience including existing civil protection instruments and present possible training methods on the crises management processes during flood response management. The exercises were conducted in English and prepared and carried out by the Safety Engineering Department of Civil Safety Faculty of MSFS.
